Privacy Policy

Boat Deals Direct is a marketplace where you can browse boats for sale, contact sellers, and list a boat of your own — and just browsing it collects nothing about you. There are no advertising trackers on this site, and no sale of personal information. The rest of this page is the same statements with their working shown.

• Accounts: if you create an account — needed to list a boat, manage listings, and keep track of your inquiries — we store the username, email address, and display name you give us and a securely hashed copy of your password. If you sign in with Google or Facebook instead, we store your name, email address, and that provider's ID number for your account.
• Listings: if you list a boat for sale, the details and photos you submit are published on the site as your listing, and we keep the listing record with your account. Some listing plans are paid: checkout is handled by Stripe, your card details go to Stripe and are never sent to or stored on our servers, and we keep a Stripe customer reference on your account.
• Inquiries: when you send an inquiry about a listing — or contact a finance, insurance, transport, or other service provider listed on the site — we store your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, and your message, and we show them to the seller or provider you contacted so they can reply to you through the site. We also briefly record the sending IP address to prevent spam; that record deletes itself within a few minutes.
• Email: if you email us — at info@boatdealsdirect.com, or listings@boatdealsdirect.com for listing questions — we keep your message so we can read it and answer it.
• Contact form: the form on our Contact page is not connected to a mailbox today and does not send or store anything you type into it. To reach us, email us instead.
• Hosting logs: our hosting provider processes standard server logs — IP address, browser type, timestamps, pages requested — to operate and secure the site. We do not use these logs to profile visitors or build advertising audiences.

This site does not set advertising cookies, does not run third-party advertising or social-media trackers, and does not fingerprint browsers. The only cookie this site sets for a visitor who is just browsing is the one that remembers your cookie choice. If you sign in, the site also uses cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to protect the sign-in process. If analytics are added later, they will be named here — and in our Cookie Policy — with what they collect, before they are switched on, and they will not run unless you accept them. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. The only sharing that happens on this site today is sharing you start yourself: when you send an inquiry, your name, contact details, and message go to the seller or provider you contacted so they can reply, and if you buy a listing plan, Stripe processes your payment. Neither happens silently or by default.

Wherever you live, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. California residents have these rights — to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of any sale or sharing — under the CCPA/CPRA; the route is the same for everyone: email info@boatdealsdirect.com with "Privacy" in the subject line. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right. Because we hold so little, most requests are answered by confirming there is nothing to find.

Email is kept while a conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Hosting logs are retained by the provider on its standard schedule. This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16; if you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
